In first place in two of the 2021 rankings of the world's best sports management courses curated by the English publication Sport Business International, is the International Master's in Strategy and Planning of Sports Events and Facilities at the University of the Republic of San Marino (MasterSport), organized in partnership with the University of Parma.
The British magazine has in fact named the program "the best master's degree in the world" in terms of its impact on participants' careers and the level of satisfaction expressed by students three years after graduation.
The results released recently by the newspaper, which has been conducting annual industry research since 2012, evaluating factors such as teaching quality and the level of internationalization and innovation, place the program offered in San Marino ahead of established and prestigious institutions such as the FIFA Masters and the Master in Sport Business at Ohio University.
Also noteworthy is MasterSport's third place in the European rankings based on the quality of its teaching and training offerings, adding to its twelfth place globally.
"For us," comments Marco Brunelli, creator of the Master's program and current Secretary General of the Italian Football Federation, "it is a great honor to receive these international recognitions from a magazine of the caliber of Sport Business International. When we came together in 1996, with industry professionals who are friends and still collaborate on the program, we had the dream of creating a unique place for training and discussion about sports. After 25 years and over 600 graduates, it is a great pleasure to see that this ambitious project has not faded but has actually grown, improving year after year. We are particularly proud of our first place in the world in the student satisfaction rankings, because over the years we have always strived to put the participant and their needs first, changing the model, schedule, delivery methods, and content over time, innovating edition after edition in an effort to continually improve the experience for each of the 25 admitted. Receiving this certificate is truly gratifying."
His words, echoed by the training program coordinator, Matteo Masini: "Achieving a milestone of this magnitude is a great motivation. Competition helps you grow, especially considering the number and quality of international competitors active in the training sector. For the next edition, taking advantage of the 25th anniversary of the course's inception, we will offer many new features and an even more comprehensive and relevant offering, with the goal of maintaining this level. Thanks to our network of speakers, partners, and alumni, we have always enjoyed a unique connection with the national and international sports system. Today, more than ever, we want to be ready to best respond to the sector's evolving needs."
Registration for the 2022 edition is currently open. Recently, to celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Master's program honored Olympic medalists Antonella Palmisano (gold medal in walking), Luigi Samele (silver medal in saber), Valentina Rodini and Federica Cesarini (gold medal in rowing), who will be future participants in the program.
