For this reason, too, I believe the University of the Republic of San Marino should be recognized as a leading figure in the present and future of the city, a firm point of reference for all." These are the words with which Laura Gobbi, Director of the Department of Human Sciences and Vice-Rector of the University of San Marino, emphasizes the significance of the inauguration ceremony for the 2019-20 Academic Year, scheduled for 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, at the Kursaal Congress Center. "Every year," he continues, "this event provides a valuable opportunity for reflection on issues our University has identified as essential and urgent, such as civic awareness and citizenship education, crucial to building a fair, supportive, and sustainable society." Gobbi finally highlights the value of the guests: journalist Ferruccio de Bortoli, president of the Longanesi publishing house and former editor of the newspapers Il Corriere della Sera and Il Sole 24 Ore, and Patrizio Bianchi, Regional Councilor of Emilia-Romagna for European Development Policies and Education: "The presence of such high-level figures confirms the growing prestige of our University, not only within the San Marino community, but also beyond."
