Civil Engineering: focus on concrete in the next seminar of the University of San Marino

Concrete is the most used construction material in the building industry: how to identify the most suitable one, considering the work to be carried out? The answer to this question will characterize the next seminar of the University of the Republic of San Marino, aimed at operators in the sector and scheduled from 9 am on Wednesday 26 June in the university headquarters of the World Trade Center in Dogana. The initiative, curated by the Civil Engineering degree course, will see Marco Viviani, professor at the Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud, Yverdon, Switzerland, in the chair. The proposed insights will involve, among other things, the basics of concrete with an excursus on the properties of the components, additives and their effect.

“With this event we are tackling a highly topical issue”, explains the director of the degree course in Civil Engineering, Angelo Marcello Tarantino. “Concrete is the building material par excellence, knowing its potential and critical aspects is essential”.

The appointment, accredited by the Italian National Council of Engineers (CNI), is organized by the University of San Marino in collaboration with the Order of Engineers and Architects of Titano. It is aimed in particular at designers, construction managers and testers of structures and infrastructures.
