The University of the Republic of San Marino now has ultra-broadband fiber optic internet access, with a superfast connection of up to 100 Mbps. The service, active since this week, is provided by Telecom Italia San Marino as part of the agreement between the operator and the University of San Marino, signed last December by Rector Corrado Petrocelli and CEO Cesare Pisani. The agreement focuses primarily on the implementation of highly innovative projects and the implementation of tools to expand the range of services offered to the University and its users. Telecom Italia San Marino's move represents an improvement in service for students, faculty, and administrative staff, and precedes the imminent advancement in Wi-Fi, which will open the door to superfast wireless connections.
