Sixteen middle school students from across Italy and the San Marino region are currently participating in the eleventh edition of the "English and Computer Science for Children with Specific Learning Disabilities" (SLD) campus offered by the University of the Republic of San Marino. Engaged in educational workshops alternating with recreational activities, the participants are supported by five teachers and two interns under the scientific direction of Giacomo Stella, director of the Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Techniques for Specific Learning Disabilities and the Master's Degree in Neuropsychology of Specific Learning Disabilities at the University of San Marino. The initiative, which began last Sunday and runs until July 3, offers students an immersion in the English language through a facilitated learning program designed specifically for them. The objectives include strengthening the participants' oral English skills and their written and spoken comprehension, as students with specific learning disabilities struggle with reading and writing. The campus is organized by the Department of Human Sciences of the University of the Republic of San Marino in collaboration with Gipa (IT Group for the Autonomy of Students with Learning Disabilities), the Anastasis cooperative, and Iride (Developmental Dyslexia Research Institute). All available places have been filled.
