What can be done on San Marino to implement training programs for public administration personnel, particularly those aimed at senior management and executives? This is the question that will form the basis of a study by the University of the Republic of San Marino, which will outline a new framework for courses for public employees. The study was carried out thanks to two scholarships established by the Department of History and the San Marino Law Institute.
The project was structured on two fronts: on the one hand, a legal analysis of aspects such as the regulatory framework of the San Marino public administration in light of the new managerial training objectives; on the other, a management approach aimed at identifying successful examples at the European level, as well as developing a questionnaire to analyze the impact of training interventions on the skills of public administration personnel, and more.
"In modern society," explains Karen Venturini, research director, "the public administration is a key player in every country's economic growth, especially when it provides high-quality services at affordable costs. If managed according to criteria of efficiency and effectiveness, it can therefore be an irreplaceable driving force for the national production system. This, however, requires a transformation of its organizational paradigm, moving from a bureaucratic to a managerial model. In this sense, competence, responsibility, and a focus on results are the keys to a way of operating that has recently been explored, among other things, in the Master's in Management Practices organized by the University's Law Institute together with the Directorate General of Public Administration."
The selection process is open to graduates aged 35 and under. More information is available at www.unirsm.sm, in the "Calls, Competitions, and Selections" section, which can be accessed from the "University" section. Deadline: May 8th.
