The history of the Condorelli confectionery industry concludes the University of San Marino's "Statistics Meetings": 10 in-depth studies in three months.

On April 30th, the CEO of the Sicilian company, which exports to 27 countries, will be a guest

Giuseppe Condorelli, CEO of the company behind the Sicilian nougat brand that bears his surname, will be the speaker at the tenth and final lecture series "Statistics Meetings" at the University of the Republic of San Marino, which began last February and is organized by the Master's Degree Program in Management Engineering.

On Thursday, April 30th, at the Dogana University campus, students will attend a two-hour in-depth session that will conclude a course that addressed topics related to healthcare, patient care, and treatment models, as well as industry, with a focus on food.

The presentations featured academics from international institutions such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Liverpool Business School, along with the Universities of Pavia and Siena. Experts and professionals from the Center for Applied Economic Research in Healthcare and the Valloni Marecchia Personal Assistance Agency also participated. Also presenting were Mauro Sammaritani, director of the National Statistics Office of San Marino, and Claudio Vagnini, director general of the Institute for Social Security.

"The schedule of meetings, which we have invited many prominent figures with whom we have already collaborated on the research front, was designed to offer students the opportunity to understand how statistics is applied in various sectors and contexts, delving into the dynamics of both near and far, large and small, in the public and private sectors," explain Pietro Renzi and Alberto Franci, professors at the University of San Marino. "The variety of perspectives, objectives, and topics addressed has helped provide participants with concrete and useful content to understand how the contexts in which they will operate function and what best practices are currently being discussed."

Founded in 1973, Industria Dolciaria Belpasso has roots dating back to 1933. Founded by Francesco Condorelli, Giuseppe's father, it primarily produces nougat and Sicilian sweets. It exports to 27 countries.
