Two 'informative' appointments in two days for the University of the Republic of San Marino, both open to the public. In fact, scheduled for tomorrow and Friday are a lesson on Hitler's oratory, held within the context of the University's doctorate in Historical Sciences, and a seminar on the Vajont landslide which in 1963 caused a massacre involving almost 2 people in the province of Pordenone, curated by the Degree Courses in Civil Engineering.

At 10 on Thursday 6 October, in the Aula Magna of the University, in the Omerelli district 20, Lutz Klinkhammer of the German Historical Institute in Rome will take the chair, ready to speak about the oratory of the German political leader in front of an audience that it will gather, in addition to the doctorate students, those of three "fifth" classes of the classical and economic high school of San Marino.

At 10 on Friday, however, in the headquarters of the Civil Engineering Degree Courses, in via Salita alla Rocca 30, the geologist Nevio Annarella will talk about the Vajont landslide as a paradigmatic example of the importance of knowing the territory and its history for those who build works and infrastructures. "Retracing the events and human errors that led to the catastrophe - explains the teacher Luca Lanzoni - the seminar will offer important food for thought on the importance, on the part of the designers and technicians involved in the creation of a work, of collaborating synergistic way and to develop a critical capacity with regard to calculation schemes and models, in the awareness that there are no absolutely reliable and safe forecasting criteria for natural events".
