Luciano Canfora, Giulietto Chiesa, and Angelo Panebianco are the protagonists of the University's all-night event.

Eight academic events are scheduled for the Notte Bianca (White Night) at the University of the Republic of San Marino, scheduled for June 3, along with a select lineup of musical and artistic events. In the Aula Magna of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, following the 3:00 PM opening ceremony led by Rector Corrado Petrocelli and the San Marino Secretary of State for Education, Giuseppe Morganti, five 10-minute lectio brevis will begin at 3:30 PM. In these lectio brevis, University professors will address the event's title theme, "Walls, Borders, Limits," from their perspective. The program begins with "From the Treasure Map to Google Maps," a mini-seminar in which Gianni Sinni of the Design Degree Programs will address the topic, considering maps as "stories of what we are capable of seeing, of our customs and our languages." Following him, Patrizia Di Luca and Luca Gorgolini of the Museo dell'Emigrante will reconstruct "the causes and trajectories of the major migratory movements recorded during the contemporary era" in "Beyond Borders — Past and Present," while Chiara Giacomoni and Marta Venturini of the Civil Engineering degree program will present "Overcoming Borders: The Walls of the Alhambra in Granada," in which they note that "tessellations have always been a way of uniting aesthetics, elegance, and simplicity, transforming engineering and architecture into works of art." Pietro Renzi and Alberto Franci of the Management Engineering degree program will address the transition "from a logic of means to a logic of results" in the care of people with "Limits and Performance of Healthcare Services: A Case Study," followed by a presentation by Giancarlo Ghironzi of the Master's Degree in Geriatric Medicine, who will discuss the "aging process" in a talk entitled "The Limits of Longevity."

The seminar will move to Hall B of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara for "The Seismic Limits of the Towers of the Republic of San Marino," a seminar organized by the Department of History, Culture, and San Marino History. Davide Forcellini, Giacomo Peruzzi, and Dario Albarello will discuss "velocity measurements of environmental vibrations carried out on the towers of the historic center of San Marino and on the Palazzo Pubblico." At 18:30 pm, the event will return to the Aula Magna for the highlight, a round table discussion that takes its name from the event. The panel will feature contributions from historian Luciano Canfora, journalist Giulietto Chiesa, and political scientist Angelo Panebianco, moderated by Carlo Romeo, director general of San Marino RTV. The discussion will focus on the current crisis in the border system, with analysis and perspectives.

The University of the Republic of San Marino's Notte Bianca program also includes installations, music, exhibitions, and performances until late.
