The University of San Marino confirms its partnership with the US multinational Lear Corporation.

The collaboration between the University of the Republic of San Marino and the Lear Corporation, a US-based multinational automotive interior design and manufacturing company with 136.000 employees and over 200 locations, has been confirmed for the second consecutive year. The project, which in recent months brought a pair of Design students to the Detroit headquarters for an internship, continues with the selection of two additional students, who will be offered valuable professional and personal opportunities.

“In today's global age, it's extremely important for students to gain international experience in their field of study,” says Carlo Dall'Olmo, originally from San Marino and one of the promoters of the initiative. "The scholarship awarded annually to two design students courtesy of Lear Corporation and its CEO, Matt Simoncini, offers significant benefits to all participants: the students, the University, and the company. The two students become global students," continues the former consul at the disposal of the Titan. "They travel and live for two months in Detroit, the international center of the automotive industry, exposed to the world of advanced technology of Lear Corporation. In addition to the internship period, the scholarship includes transportation costs, accommodations, a car for transportation, and a stipend. The program, implemented by Simoncini, whose mother is originally from San Marino, is in its second year and is directed by Barney Theisen. The students selected in the previous edition, Roberto Giacomo and Filippo Onofri, received high praise from Simoncini for their work ethic, enthusiasm, and productivity. This demonstrates the excellent preparation they received at the University of San Marino. This year, two more students, Nicolò Tamagnini and Matteo Brognara, were selected. The scholarship is an example of the great opportunities created through relationships between San Marino and its citizens abroad. We thank everyone who made it possible."
