Michele Chiaruzzi, director of the Research Center for International Relations at the University of the Republic of San Marino, has been selected to participate in the research group "The Rise of the International: An Intellectual History," which will meet in August in Brisbane, Australia, at the University of Queensland. The University of San Marino thus confirms its growing international activity by participating in a project that will involve four other academic institutions from two continents: the Australian National University, the University of Zurich, the University of London, and the University of Queensland.
"The participants," stated Tim Dunne and Richard Devetak, coordinators of the working group, in the invitation letter sent to the San Marino academic, "were chosen based on their pioneering contributions to the field of global intellectual history and the contextualization of the discipline of international relations." The planned activities, curated by the School of Political and International Studies at the University of Queensland, will result in a publication that will be submitted to Oxford University Press.
The initiative is funded by the Australian Academy of the Social Sciences. Chiaruzzi's presence will also be supported by Policy Advise of San Marino, a San Marino company committed to scientific research.
