The initiative, entitled "Optimization of road paving maintenance", was hosted by the Municipality of Fano, with which the University of San Marino collaborates in the light of a memorandum of understanding which in 2016 saw the University coordinate the ' of 40 kilometers of road network in the Marche city, with an announced budget of around 4 million euros. Among the audience were technicians from administrations and bodies of Ancona, Pesaro, San Marino, Urbino, Riccione, Fossombrone and Gradara, as well as representatives of private companies.
"The Civil Engineering Degree Course of the University of San Marino played an important coordination role for the direction of the road maintenance works carried out in Fano in 2016 - explains Grilli - following all the interconnected activities, from the preliminary analyzes to the project, from execution of quality control, including final validation. The presence of over 150 participants at the workshop, who occupied all the places available, demonstrates the great interest shown by sector technicians in this area".
