Registrations open for the “Mediterranean Film Culture” summer school, together with the Universities of Titano, Crete and Pisa
The performances and personalities of the stars of Italian cinema, the sexuality represented in films, the figure of the mother in films and other aspects that have characterized the productions created in the peninsula will be at the center of a series of in-depth studies offered during the "Mediterranean Film" summer school Culture”, scheduled for 1 to 10 July in Rethymno, Greece, with the collaboration of the University of the Republic of San Marino.
The program, which involves the analysis of Mediterranean cinema, was curated with the participation of Maria Elena D'Amelio, a professor at the University of San Marino working on the degree course in Communication and Digital Media.
The planned lessons will take place at the headquarters of the Institute of Mediterranean Studies of Crete, active since 1985 and involved together with the Universities of San Marino and Pisa.
Under the magnifying glass authors, genres and actors, between similarities and differences due to the particularities of the cultures and different territories, without neglecting the portraits of everyday life, in aspects such as nutrition, for example, and broadening the perspective to the characteristics of the industries films of Italy, France and Greece.
In addition to classroom lessons, there will be discussions and trips to some of the most famous filming locations in Crete.
Registrations will be open until March 10th.
