Two international conferences on Design, scheduled for November 10 and 12 in Perugia and London, will feature the University of the Republic of San Marino with a series of presentations curated by Matteo Moretti, vice director of the master's degree program in Interaction and Experience Design.
The professor will offer his contributions during the World Usability Day 2020 events, developed in several cities and focused on greater ease of use of services and products important for a better society, and DataViz Live, coordinated from the English capital to connect realities from business, design and the world of research, with the subtitle "Better Data Visualization for Commercial Success and Social Good".
"My participation in these initiatives, both virtual, will see me, first, exploring how design can help a broader audience understand the phenomena around us, and, second, describing the project for the Matera 2019 open data portal, which, through a series of data-driven narratives, opens the world of data to a broader and more diverse audience," explains Moretti. "My research," continues the professor from the University of San Marino, "bridges the world of information and that of social impact, exploring innovative forms of communication to support informed debate on complex and multifaceted issues such as social issues."
Moretti has curated research projects presented at academic conferences and events such as TEDx and received the 2015 Data Journalism Award, as well as the 2016 and 2017 European Design Award. In 2018, he was hosted in San Marino as one of the 100 ambassadors of Italian Design in the world, appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
