Two agreements to facilitate staff and student exchanges between the universities of San Marino, Andorra, Malta, Greenland, and Gibraltar. This is the result of the recent meeting of the European Network of Universities of Small Countries and Territories, founded in 2018 to create a coordination network among the academic institutions of the participating countries. The underlying objectives were shared needs related to the creation of mobility and research programs among small institutions, as well as the organization of scientific conferences to promote research and education.
On April 7, at the University of Malta, the heads of the participating universities, including the University of the Republic of San Marino, represented by Michele Chiaruzzi, director of the Research Centre for International Relations, signed the agreements and expanded the number of countries involved in the network with the addition of Montenegro, joining Liechtenstein, already a member of the initiative. The group's next meeting will take place in San Marino.
