The path is at the center of a thesis of 110 cum laude in Civil Engineering
A five-kilometre cycle-pedestrian itinerary between Morciano di Romagna and Osteria Nuova, three meters wide and with aesthetic characteristics consistent with the surrounding nature, was designed by a student of the University of the Republic of San Marino and presented at the World Trade headquarters Center of Dogana today, Monday 10 July, during a graduation session of the master's course in Civil Engineering.
The cycle/pedestrian path proposed by Lorenzo Fabbri, a 24-year-old from Rimini, follows the Conca river connecting the two localities and linking up with the network of hiking trails in the area. “It was elaborated – explains the researcher Alex Balzi, supervisor of the thesis – making use of specific three-dimensional modeling and design software which made it possible to create videos and photo-simulations of the intervention. The study – he continues – also took into consideration the aspects linked to environmental protection, to guarantee a harmonious insertion of the route into the naturalistic context without altering the permeability of the soils and the hydrogeological structure of the river area”.
The project, which engaged Locksmiths in a 360-hour apprenticeship and led him to the degree with 110 cum laude, "enhances and makes the area straddling the Municipalities of Morciano di Romagna, San Clemente, Montefiore and Montescudo - Monte Columbus. It was also created with a technical comparison between the University of San Marino and the Province of Rimini”.
