The contribution of the University of San Marino in the World Bank's annual report on women and the economy

A series of analyzes on the working and professional condition of women on Mount Titano, with in-depth analysis of areas such as pay, parenthood, entrepreneurship, pensions and mobility, will characterize the contribution given by the University of the Republic of San Marino to the annual report on inclusion of women in 190 economies of the globe edited by the World Bank, which has among its main purposes the reduction of poverty.

The Research Center for International Relations of the University of San Marino, directed by Michele Chiaruzzi, will in fact participate for the second consecutive year in the "Women, Business and the Law" project. The activity, which falls within the scope of the University's 'third mission' to contribute to the social and cultural development of the area, will take place in collaboration with the San Marino Confederation of Labor and is aimed, among other things, at identifying barriers to women's economic participation.

“Thanks to this work – explains Chiaruzzi – the presence of San Marino in the global system of documentation and sharing of data and information necessary for participation in international life is strengthened, in this case to encourage, among other things, the reform of discriminatory laws in the world . The confirmation of our participation - continues the academic - sanctions the recognition of the World Bank for the commitment aimed at supporting the San Marino presence at a global level in every context useful for the civil progress of our community and of others".
