White Night and a reunion of graduates from the University of San Marino. The Rector: "We are strengthening our sense of belonging to this University."

“The purpose of this initiative is to strengthen the sense of belonging to our University among those who have studied here.”
These were the words with which the Rector of the University of the Republic of San Marino, Corrado Petrocelli, greeted the university's graduates who gathered on Saturday, May 25, for the alumni reunion held at the university's Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, after bad weather forced the organizers to cancel the event in Piazza della Libertà.

The University seal was awarded to 23 former students who distinguished themselves in their professional careers after graduating on Titan in the fields of Design, Management Engineering, and Civil Engineering, as well as specializations in the Departments of Human Sciences and History.
"One of our primary goals was, and remains, to instill in students the ability to be transversal and flexible in a world where knowledge is rapidly changing, so that they can read and interpret the complexities of the future," the Rector continued, remembering the more than one thousand young men and women who have graduated from the Republic over the last 20 years.
We're not a university that uses a vocabulary of terms like 'training' and 'product'. Education is central to our focus. Among other things, we began discussing ethics and civic awareness, a process that led to the establishment of the National Citizenship Education Day in San Marino, initiated by us. Our students bring this country to life, and tonight's celebration serves to reaffirm this.

Also speaking at the ceremony was the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Marco Podeschi, who emphasized the University's "impressive" growth in recent years and confirmed the San Marino government's commitment "to further strengthen this University."

In addition to the award ceremony, the Notte Bianca also featured workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and competitions, including the Mattia Tugnoli Prize for the best thesis on social innovation defended in the last academic year, which went to Nicolò Tamagnini. Live music and DJ sets also played in Piazzale Lo Stradone.
