Rimini, March 20, 2018 – A new edition of starts again New Ideas New Businesses, the business plan competition that rewards innovative business projects. Over 16 years, it has seen 3.518 young people compete with their 1.177 business ideas. 62 companies have been launched, and the prize pool has been over €557.000.

THE TERRITORY EXPRESSES A REMARKABLE INNOVATIVE FERMENT
It is certified innovative ferment which animates the province of Rimini and the Republic of San Marino: they are 101 le startups located in the Rimini area and represent the11,7 % of the Emilia-Romagna system; the second region, after Lombardy, for the number of innovative companies, which stands at 862 out of 8.391 nationally.
Over 40 incubated startups inside San Marino Innovation, with 130 employees involved. According to the latest data, 69% are men and 31% are women, with an overall average age of 39. The most reactive sectors among companies' activities are Planning/Design and Robotics/Automation, with 26% of the companies participating, closely followed by ICT/TLC at 24%. There is also a strong focus on Green and Biomedical sectors, with 12% of startups involved in each. This entrepreneurial dynamism is confirmed by ever-growing numbers.
