The University of the Republic of San Marino, partner of the 19th edition of Nuove Idee Nuove Imprese, a startup contest that rewards innovative business projects, announces the opening of registrations for an initiative aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses launched in the last 18 months which intend to develop innovative business projects in the provinces of Rimini and Forlì-Cesena, as well as in the Republic of San Marino.
The competition, which came of age last year, returns with some innovations that embrace the digitalisation process accelerated in recent months by the Coronavirus emergency. The first phase, dedicated to training for all participants, which will start in July, will take place online on the Zoom platform.
However, the purpose of the "contest" does not change: to promote the development of local entrepreneurship by providing the tools to develop and "give legs" to particularly innovative ideas that the lockdown period may have stimulated.
“The redefinition of the format – comments President Maurizio Focchi – now adapted to the limitations foreseen for meetings between people, does not take anything away from the founding value of the business plan competition. Current events, with their load of emergency and uncertainty, represent at the same time a powerful stimulus to entrepreneurial creativity. What we offer is support, in terms of advanced training and concrete assessments of the company, throughout a process that verifies objectives and feasibility for new businesses. Changes do not demoralize the entrepreneurial spirit, but it is necessary to build a pool of knowledge around it that guarantees its full expression. Nuove Idee Nuove Imprese has been keeping this promise for 19 years."
