Selections are now open for the selection of a candidate who will work within the framework of the Design degree courses.
"Exploring the role of emerging technologies and generative AI in the valorization of tangible and intangible cultural heritage." This is one of the main objectives of a research project that the University of the Republic of San Marino will conduct together with a candidate selected through a selection process. Applications, currently open, will close at 12:00 PM on July 13.
The call, open to graduates aged 35 and under, provides for the awarding of a research grant that will strengthen a project included in a broader effort by the University of San Marino's Design degree programs to enhance the cultural heritage of small communities, villages, inland areas, and museums.
"Through participatory processes, collective interaction strategies, open-source languages, and digital technologies," the call for proposals states, "the research supports institutions and communities in expanding the audience for cultural enjoyment, including users with different abilities and skills, and raising greater citizen awareness." Involving "contemporary media approaches and inclusive digital tools," the text continues, "the research line explores how contemporary technologies and languages can open heritage to new forms of enjoyment, participation, and interpretation." This "vision finds expression in the themes developed in the Master's Degree in Interaction & Experience Design" at the University of San Marino, "with a unique program in the Italian landscape that trains designers capable of working critically at the intersection of heritage, emerging technologies, and participation."
