Over fifty executives and public administration managers will attend the University of San Marino's upcoming performance evaluation course.

Twenty hours of insights together with professors from academic realities such as Bocconi in Milan and the University of Urbino will involve over 50 managers and operational unit managers of the Public Administration of the Titano during the next training course organized by the University of the Republic of San Marino, in agreement with the Directorate General of Public Administration and in collaboration with the San Marino national headquarters of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences.
The five sessions scheduled from November 11th to December 2nd will focus on performance evaluation in the broader public sector, analyzing projects, organizations, impact of activities, and more. In addition to professors and experts, the lecturers will include public and private managers who will share their experiences and initiatives, as well as representatives of Italian municipal administrations.
"Connecting the principle of managerialism to public administration efficiency is especially important to foster a better relationship between public administration and citizens, contributing to the country's economic development, following the example set by the most advanced European countries in this area," explains Paolo Pascucci, director of the University's San Marino Law Institute, which organized the course. "A public administration that achieves greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness," the academic reiterates, "represents a driving force for the entire San Marino community and an advantage for the entire community, while also avoiding the negative consequences of delays or inflexibility."
The University thus confirms its ongoing efforts in education and culture, with positive economic benefits: "This is yet another initiative through which the University of San Marino contributes to the progress of the Titan," Pascucci states, "establishing itself as an indispensable tool for enhancing the quality and expertise of the region."
For his part, the Director of Civil Service, Manuel Canti, emphasizes "the need to effectively adopt managerial action logics in the Public Administration, an effort often hampered by various problems, accentuated when one attempts to uncritically transfer managerial experiences and best practices from the context of private companies to the public sector."
Precisely for this reason, the university training initiative aims to 'calibrate', starting from both the literature and the direct experiences of corporate witnesses, the managerial role in performance evaluation, in light of the specificities of public organizations.
The collaboration between the University and the Directorate General of the Civil Service, in this case with the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, continues. The collaboration aims to further enhance the broader public sector, constantly improve the processes involved in managing public affairs, and increase efficiency.
