"This was a significant moment of discussion, allowing us to outline everything that has been accomplished at the University of San Marino over the past three years to strengthen and develop initiatives in teaching and research, internationalization, and regional development, collaborating in synergy with public and private entities." These were the words of the Rector of the University of the Republic of San Marino, Corrado Petrocelli, commenting on the Council Committee meeting yesterday, where he presented a report on the work accomplished during his term and on future prospects. "It was also an opportunity to describe the processes of reorganization and enhancement of student services, as well as to consider the encouraging results achieved with the doubling of enrollments recorded over the last two years. Every action and activity," concluded the Rector, joined yesterday by the University's Director General, Isabella Bizzocchi, "has been guided by the highest standards of transparency. We were very pleased to participate in the hearing requested by Secretary of State Marco Podeschi and welcomed the appreciation of numerous members of the Commission."
In addition to the increase in enrollment, from 300 to approximately 600 in 24 months, the results highlighted yesterday include the more than 25 agreements signed with Italian and foreign universities, the opportunities for students to study in countries such as Brazil and France, the research projects initiated with public bodies and private companies within and beyond the Republic's borders, and finally the high level of placement of San Marino University graduates, accompanied by rapid development in their professional careers.
