Filming begins on the documentary about the Miramare colony, produced by the University of San Marino and the Il Palloncino Rosso Association of Rimini.

A documentary retracing stories and anecdotes related to the Colonia Bolognese di Miramare between the 50s and 70s. This is the project currently being developed by the University of the Republic of San Marino and the Il Palloncino Rosso Association, which since 2018 has been overseeing a broader urban regeneration and social innovation project related to the currently abandoned structure, called "Stories of Colonia – Summer Tales from the Bolognese, 1932–1977."

The documentary was created by students of the Video Laboratory of the Master's Degree in Design at the University of San Marino, led by professor and director Federico Bondi. A filming session took place just last Tuesday, featuring interviews with some former guests of the holiday resort.

"While waiting to reopen our doors for the 2019 summer events, our association, thanks to the invaluable work of Ilaria Ruggeri, Paola Russo, and Luca Villa, has been collecting testimonies, photographs, and videos from those with stories related to summers spent at the Colonia," explains Luca Zamagni, president of the Il Palloncino Rosso Association. "Why are we building its historical memory? Because a place stands in time and is crossed and inhabited by multiple stories; a place can withstand time, be preserved, or be forgotten; a place can speak to the community and create social gatherings, it can stimulate individual awareness or curiosity; it can remain silent or be silenced."
