Job prospects and scholarships in the virtual Open Days of the University of San Marino

“The relationships that arise in this university are like a family. It is very easy, for example, to create Whatsapp or Facebook groups, to be in contact not only in the university setting. The teachers are approachable and available. In the Engineering content it is associated with Mathematics, Physics and more generally with reasoning. I like to analyze everyday events from these points of view, to understand why a certain thing works in a certain way”. These are the words with which Luca Bigonzi, enrolled in the third year of the three-year degree course in Civil Engineering at the University of the Republic of San Marino, describes his experience in the podcasts available on the University's virtual Open Day web pages, on the website www.unirsm.sm.

His testimony joins that of other students and exes in a series of contents dedicated to those who are about to move from high school to university: "I graduated in 2019, I worked for a few months in the private construction sector with a architect and then I moved on to a large engineering company where I am now in charge of the construction management of a vast building site”, says Enrico Fattori, who completed his three-year course in Construction and Land Management.

In the virtual Open Days, the podcasts curated by the Usmaradio broadcaster are accompanied by videos, a booking service for online interviews with teachers and the description of the main opportunities: "In the field of Civil Engineering - explains the teacher Andrea Grilli - every year at least 4 or 5 scholarships are awarded to students in collaboration with San Marino and Italian partners such as AASLP, AASS, the Municipality of Fano and GEAT, a municipal company of the Municipality of Riccione”.

In addition to the degree courses in Civil Engineering and Construction and Territorial Management, the Open Days involve training courses in Design, Management Engineering, Communication and Digital Media.
