Punto Europa: Public presentation on Wednesday

The Europa Point, an information point established by the University of the Republic of San Marino to provide qualified information and dissemination services on the EU in the San Marino area, will be presented on Wednesday, September 7, at 19:30 PM, at its headquarters at Via Piana 27. This recognized facility, once fully operational, will provide all interested parties with access to the most timely updates on European Union issues, establishing itself as a privileged channel for learning about the institutions, policies, and opportunities offered to the continent's citizens.

Open to students, entrepreneurs, employees, professionals, and others, the Europa Point will be part of the Europe Direct network, the EU's official information network for the general public, structured around local information points. The first European institution hosted in the Republic, created thanks to the initiative of the University of San Marino's International Relations Research Center, it will also host specific events related to the European Union and provide tools for dialogue with its institutions, thus supporting the integration process currently underway in San Marino.

The San Marino Europe Point aims to provide an information service to users, including assistance with online searches and consultation of available information and books. Planned activities include a periodic newsletter, the production of educational materials for schools, consultancy services to meet specific requests from public and private users, documents and links on EU policies and programs, training and outreach activities on European Union issues, and finally, guidance and consultancy for starting study, internship, work, and volunteer experiences abroad.

The presentation will feature speakers Michele Chiaruzzi, scientific director of Punto Europa; Elena D'Amelio, coordinator of the organization; Giuseppe Morganti, Secretary of State for Education; and Giuliana Laschi, Jean Monnet Chair ad personam in the History of European Integration and a member of the scientific council of the Research Center for International Relations at the University of the Republic of San Marino.
