The students of the master's degree course in Civil Engineering of the University of the Republic of San Marino illustrated to the technicians of the Autonomous State Authority for Public Works (AASLP) what they had learned during the internships that recently brought them to institutions and companies from Romagna and the Marches. An activity carried out within the framework of the recent memorandum of understanding that binds the University and the Company, which is preparing for the preliminary investigations necessary to implement the planning of its interventions and regulate the quality control of the works carried out.
During a meeting held yesterday at the AASLP headquarters in Borgo Maggiore, the student Luca Cedrini, returning from a period of internship in the Municipality of Fano, illustrated the most incisive phases of the planning and implementation of road maintenance on the roads managed by the local administration, for which the University of San Marino has coordinated a series of interventions worth around 4 million euros. After him Stefano Silvegni intervened, who in the light of his experience in the Cooperativa Braccianti Rimini showed the results obtained in the laboratory for an asphalt produced cold and composed of 100% recycled material, coming from the demolition of the roads. An intervention of particular interest for the Company, ready to use new 'green' techniques on the roads of the republic.
Marco Tamburini, employed by the Pesaresi Costruzioni firm of Rimini, illustrated the characteristics of special asphalt mixtures such as the one recently used on the edge of the green area between parking lots 6 and 7 in the historic center of Titano, while the San Marino student Michele Giavarini analyzed the production and construction aspects of the construction of the 'inter-district road' of Fano.
“This activity - explains Andrea Grilli, professor of the Degree Course - has allowed the creation of a working group between different bodies of the Public Administration which is proving to be very active and cohesive. The greatest satisfaction lies in seeing our students easily enter the working world and reach absolutely appreciable levels from a technical point of view, in a decidedly short time".
