Students and teachers from the University of San Marino will curate the concept of the Titan pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka

The agreement between the University and the General Commissariat of the San Marino government was signed

The interiors of the Titan pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka will be designed by students of the University of the Republic of San Marino together with teachers of the Design degree course. This was established by an agreement signed last Thursday, 11 January, by the Rector of the University, Corrado Petrocelli, and the General Commissioner of the San Marino government for participation in the Universal Exhibition, Filippo Francini, together with the main academics involved.

The document envisages "a collaborative research and development program aimed at the conceptualisation of Interior Design and Visual Identity for the future creation of the national pavilion", defining "in particular the general concept and mood of the space, the zoning of the functions and of the activities, the layout at the various levels, the sections, the indications on the colours, the materials of the set-up and the general image of the interiors".

As regards the visual identity, an initial hypothesis of the logo, communication and possible merchandising will be defined.

The path that will lead to the final project will involve, together with the teachers, three working groups, each of which is made up of a maximum of four students selected on the basis of their academic curriculum and portfolio. The winners, together with the scientific managers, will be invited by the Commissioner to visit the pavilion during the Japanese event.

The University of San Marino thus confirms its activities in support of the country and the institutions in the initiatives developed in the territory and outside the borders of the republic, after having already collaborated on the project for the Titan pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Universal Exhibition. The Expo 2025 Osaka will be held from April 13 to October 13.
