Study in management engineering on the company "Sit Group" is worth the degree to a student of the Titano

A model for optimizing a company's information systems, "to undertake actions to improve services and to make them increasingly competitive". This is what Linda Sartini from San Marino, born in 1993, achieved with the research that just today led her to obtain the Three-year Degree in Management Engineering at the University of the Republic of San Marino. As part of a 140-hour internship spread over nine months, Sartini analyzed the San Marino company Sit Group and specifically developed two forms through which the various areas of the company can request the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) office ), in charge of the IT tools adopted by Sit Group, "the creation of new services or the modification of existing services". The aim is "to improve the quality of the decisions taken by the subjects involved", and the results have shown "an improvement in the qualitative level of the information, as the exchange takes place more effectively and efficiently", reads the text of the study. To achieve the objective, among other things, the analyzes of the requests, their collection and the approval of the necessary budgets were examined.

Sartini's thesis, entitled "Procedures of Information Technology and Service Management: the Sit Group case", was carried out under the supervision of Pietro Renzi from San Marino, professor of Information systems for business management.

In addition to its academic value, the research highlights the synergy between the University of San Marino and local businesses: Sit Group, in particular, is described as "one of the largest companies" in the area and "places itself among the main market players European flexible packaging company with more than 500 employees, a 2015 turnover of approximately 126 million euros and a constantly evolving strategic plan, which aims at significant growth in terms of size and market share".

“The internship experience that Sartini has gained in Sit Group - explains the company - was certainly constructive for both parties. For us, since it has allowed us to concretely increase the value of the relationship between students and the business system. For her, in terms of both personal and professional enrichment, based, specifically, on carrying out a concrete analysis of our company case".
