"This result underscores the value of the work carried out over the last six years, made possible by the ideas, commitment, and enthusiasm that have engaged me and the entire San Marino university community, from faculty to staff, from collaborators to students." These are the words with which Corrado Petrocelli, Rector of the University of the Republic of San Marino, commented on the unanimous confirmation of his appointment by the San Marino parliament, the Great and General Council, last week. "This," explains the academic, who will serve for another three years and has already served two terms, "will allow us to continue our path to joining the European Higher Education Area," the European Higher Education Space linked to the Bologna Process, which involves academic institutions from approximately 50 countries to foster exchanges and interactions between universities across the continent, impacting the quality of higher education systems and their compatibility and comparability.
"We have also joined the European University Association," Petrocelli continues, "which includes over 800 universities. This is a further achievement that recognizes the efforts made to strengthen our university and better address the analyses the association conducted before approving our candidacy."
In the meantime, part of the work is focused on the next academic year, for which registration for bachelor's and master's degree programs will open on July 20. The University of San Marino offers courses in Communication and Digital Media, Design, Management Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, and Land Management.
