Focus on community care: strategies for strengthening community care are outlined.
More accessible, continuous care that responds to the community's real needs, especially in a context marked by an aging population and increasing vulnerability.
This is what Claudio Vagnini, Director General of the Institute for Social Security (ISS), described today during a seminar for the Management Engineering degree course at the University of the Republic of San Marino, part of the "Statistics Meetings" series.
The event, titled "Proximity Care and Redevelopment of Local Care to Promote the Humanization of Care," took place at the Dogana University campus.
Vagnini discussed the evolution of the ISS's organization and the development of community care, with particular attention to models geared toward chronic care, out-of-hospital care pathways, and strengthening the role of family and community nurses.
"Working on community care and humanizing care pathways," said the ISS Director General, "means truly caring for individuals and their families, building ongoing support that strengthens the bond of trust between healthcare services and the community. This, at the same time, represents the vision with which we envision the future of healthcare in our country."
