The Master's Degree in Interaction Design at the University of the Republic of San Marino will be featured in the special "Italy: Journey into Beauty – the Royal Palace of Caserta," broadcast on Rai Storia at 21:40 PM on Monday, October 10, for having created an interactive audio-video installation as part of the contemporary art exhibition "Terrae Motus," a display of 72 works in which the artists were asked to offer an "emotional reaction" to the 1980 Irpinia earthquake.
The degree program's project, which also included the creation of two videos and a website introducing all the artists featured in the collection, represented an interactive reworking of the exhibition, with the aim of raising awareness of the theme that inspired "Terrae Motus." It also stands out as the only "new" addition to the previous exhibition. Presented on June 1st, on the occasion of the collection's move to the new wing of the Reggia, acquired by the Italian Air Force, the initiative was coordinated by professor Roberto Paci Dalò in collaboration with Dario Martini, Daniele Tabellini, and Franz Rosati. The project saw the participation and collaboration of artist Bruno Di Bello, the protagonist of the original exhibition, and curator and art historian Maria Savarese.
The episode of the television special, in addition to its broadcast on Monday evening, will soon be available on the Rai Cultura website.
