The tradition of Murano glassmaking and the innovations introduced by the University of the Republic of San Marino's Design program will meet in an exhibition scheduled for December 8th to 10th at Matrioska, a festival showcasing art, craftsmanship, culture, fashion, and video, all under the banner of creativity and the handmade, at Castel Sismondo in Piazza Malatesta, Rimini.
During the event, five prototypes will be on display, with which students from the University of San Marino are proposing new techniques for blowing artistic Murano glass in collaboration with the Murano glassworks NasonMoretti, a leader in the tableware and home furnishings sector since the 50s.
The glass works will therefore be available to the public, alongside the tools used to create them, which took place in the NasonMoretti laboratories during the "Product Design Workshop" coordinated by teachers Massimo Barbierato and Gaetano Giuliano.
Usmaradio, the radio station of the University of San Marino, will also be present at Matrioska.
