The new edition of the University of San Marino's courses on trust law has begun.

Trust taxation in Italy and in San Marino, due diligence, and fiduciary powers are among the topics covered in depth during the second edition of the "Courses on Trust Law in San Marino," starting Tuesday, September 10th. These courses will qualify students to practice as trustees in the Republic or to register with the Register of Trustees and Professional Guardians of the "Trust in Italy" Association. Organized by the University of the Republic of San Marino and held at the World Trade Center in Dogana, the initiative will analyze the dynamics of assets and rights entrusted to a trustee for administration. Participants will participate in a total of 24 hours of classes, plus an additional day of in-depth study dedicated to the trustee profession in Italy.
A refresher course for professionals already working in the sector will begin on September 16th in the Montelupo Hall in Domagnano. The course will focus on areas such as trust and blockchain, resident agent issues, and voting trust in the Italian legal system.
The scientific director of both programs is Maurizio Lupoi, professor of Comparative Legal Systems, who is ready to answer three questions that will help better understand the content, meaning, and perspectives offered to those attending the courses.

Professor, what was your assessment of last year's edition?
Certainly positive, in addition to the interest shown and the satisfactory number of members, positive effects have emerged, such as the creation of three new companies specifically created to practice the trustee profession in San Marino.

Is there anything new for 2019?
Certainly, for example, we've included highly topical topics in the refresher course, such as an in-depth look at blockchain. This course, this year, hosts some of the same students who attended the qualification program in 2018, resulting in increased participation.

What are the prospects for those who qualify to practice as trustees on Titan?
An increase in the number of trusts is expected as a result of recent regulatory interventions, it is certainly a reality destined to grow
