Do you want to graduate as an engineer or surveyor? At the Open Days of the University of San Marino, 2 days of initiatives to make the right choice

In Dogana on February 21st and 22nd a series of insights for those interested in five different training courses

Projects that have to do with houses, buildings, roads and bridges, in the name of sustainability and safety. And again: on the ways to manage business and affairs, companies, public administrations and other particularly complex entities, called to be prepared to face the challenges of today's markets.

Together with teachers and students, on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February these will be the protagonists of the Open Days 2025 of the University of the Republic of San Marino, at least for what concerns five of the eight degree courses offered by the San Marino University, located in Dogana, in via Consiglio dei Sessanta 99, on the third floor of Tower B. These are the three-year and master's programs in Civil Engineering and Management Engineering, alongside the three-year program in Construction and Land Management, aimed at surveyors.

As for Civil Engineering, professor Michele Bacciocchi first points out the presence of "two main areas of study, one dedicated to anti-seismic and the other to environmental sustainability. We are protagonists in teaching and research on the design of structures and infrastructures capable of guaranteeing the best safety standards in the event of natural disasters - he continues - as well as in the green sector with studies on new materials and technologies capable of leading to savings in raw materials, less pollution and also, in many cases, reduced costs".

Some of the topics covered are shared by the program in Construction and Land Management. In common also, among the various activities, some initiatives dedicated to high school students: an example is an ideas competition in which those who have not yet graduated were asked to hypothesize environmentally friendly solutions, from which promising and encouraging projects emerged for the possible academic future of the authors.

Then there is Management Engineering, where “those who study with us prepare to interpret and manage the main systemic problems that characterize companies and organizations from both a technological and economic and managerial point of view”. These are the words of the vice director of the three-year and master's courses, Leonardo Tagliente. “Our graduates stand out for the solid skills they have acquired in areas such as logistics, production, marketing, finance and project management”.

In the Open Days program, in addition to guided tours and meetings, six events stand out on Friday: at 9:30 an exhibition will be inaugurated with the main degree theses of the program in Construction and Land Management, which at 15:30 will also be the focus of a presentation focusing on the subjects covered and job opportunities. At 10 instead there will be a roundup of Civil Engineering studies, from 15 engaged in a meeting on the three-year program and career prospects, repeated at 16:30 for the master's degree. Returning to the morning, at 11 for those interested in Management Engineering there will be a 'business game' that will involve participants in the discovery of some aspects covered in the training courses.

The Open Days will also be offered by the degree courses in Design and Communication and Digital Media, based in San Marino City.
