Arianna Taddei

Biographical profile

Arianna Taddei Born in Rimini on June 18, 1979, she earned a master's degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Bologna in 2003. She has become an expert in training and international cooperation, conducting consultancy and research on social and educational inclusion initiatives in Palestine (Gaza Strip) and El Salvador, in collaboration with NGOs, local and international universities, public institutions, and civil society organizations for people with disabilities.

In 2014, she earned a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences from the University of Bologna, where she continued her collaboration as a research fellow. Since 2017, she has pursued her academic career as a researcher and subsequently as an associate professor in the M-PED/03 sector at the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage, and Tourism at the University of Macerata. During this period, she obtained her national qualifications as a full professor in 2018 and 2023, respectively. Since October 1, 2025, she has been a full professor of Didactics and Special Pedagogy (PAED-02/A) at the Department of Human Sciences at the University of the Republic of San Marino.

Academic Curriculum

Arianna Taddei is a professor at the Department of Human Sciences at the University of the Republic of San Marino and serves as Deputy Director of the Department. She is involved in teaching and research, teaching Pedagogical Sciences and Inclusive Education in specialization courses for education and training professionals. For the University of San Marino, she has conducted two research projects, published with Franco Angeli: "Against Gender-Based Violence: Between Training and Intervention. Reflections from Research in the Republic of San Marino" (2017) and "Weaving Inclusion. An Investigation of Specialized Teachers in San Marino" (2025).

Since 2022 (ongoing) she has been Director of the Specialization Course for Support Activities in nursery, primary and lower and upper secondary schools (VII–VIII–IX–X cycle) and 40 CF (DM 75/2025) at the University of Macerata, where, from 2017 to 2025, she has held various institutional roles (including: Delegate for teaching for the Department, Vice Director of the TincTec Center, member of the University Doctoral College, member of CIRDIFOR, Erasmus Delegate of the Department) and numerous teachings within the support specialization courses and the three-year degree courses (Educational and Training Sciences, L-19) and master's degree courses (Pedagogical Sciences, LM-85) relating to the field of Clinical Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy, Pedagogy and Didactics for disabilities sensorial, metacognitive and cooperative methodologies.

Coordination of national and international projects

She has been a member of research teams for several European projects focused on the educational and social inclusion of people with disabilities. He coordinated several national and international projects until September 2025, including:

• Coordinator of Work Package 1 “Solutions and models to support independent living, education, and well-being of vulnerable people and communities” in the INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM project: Innovation, digitalization, and sustainability for the diffused economy in Central Italy, for the University of Macerata, funded by PNRR funds.
• Scientific director of the University of Macerata research unit for the PRIN project "Learning Analytics. Across Data Processing Ethics, Instructional Design, and Academic Policy," awarded in collaboration with the University of Bari.
• Scientific director Including Jerusalem: promoting Inclusion as Unifying process for primary school children in fragmented communities of East Jerusalem, funded by the European Union (University of Macerata);
• Head of Educ-IN: Inclusive and Quality Early Childhood Education in Mozambique, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (University of Macerata).

Since 2024, he has been a member of the project coordinated by the University of Macerata "Collaborative Research Constellations – Afro_disc. Afrodiscendenze".

He has been collaborating for several years in training, research and visiting professor exchange projects with the following foreign universities: Universidad de Oviedo (Spain), Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain), Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), Universidade Pedagogica de Maputo (Mozambique), Central American University José Simeón Cañas (El Salvador), Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de Ciudad de México (Mexico), Al-Quds University de Jerusalem (Palestine).

• Member of the Teaching Board of the National Research Doctorate "Teaching & Learning Sciences: Inclusion, technologies, educational research and evaluation", which includes over 30 Italian universities.
• Member of the Teaching Staff of the PhD program "Education and Inclusion for Cultural Heritage and Tourism" at the University of Macerata.

From academic year 2021/2022 to 2023/2024

• Member of the Teaching Staff of the National Research Doctorate “Gender Studies” (XXXVIII cycle) activated by the University of Bari 'Aldo Moro' in collaboration with the University of Macerata and the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa.

She has participated as a speaker at numerous national and international conferences and is a member of the scientific committees of several series including Inclusive Trajectories (FrancoAngeli) and Embodiment, Education, Inclusion (PensaMultimedia), as well as several editorial boards. She is the author of numerous national and international publications and is a member of the leading educational societies: SIPES, SIPED, SIRD, and SIREM.
