Subject
Little has been done so far to recover the history and especially the impact that theatrical activities have had on civil life in San Marino over the last fifty years with particular attention to the relationship and intersection of theatre/society, where theatre has been established as a space for elaboration and intervention in community life. For this reason, it is considered essential to start an analysis of the activities managed by the DSU in collaboration with the Cultural Institutes - Performing Arts Section, including those involving schools.
Learning outcomes
The objective of the research is to explore the role played in the past and potentially assumed in the near future by theatrical activities in the social and cultural life of the San Marino community.
Both the experiences implemented in the territory which can be configured as active citizenship interventions and, in the school context, the pedagogical-training activities, the interventions in potentially critical contexts or in the presence of hardship and integration difficulties will be taken into consideration. In particular, the initiatives that involved the then Department of Education, now the Department of Human Sciences, will be investigated, also through the activities carried out by the Center for Research and Teaching, Theater and Citizenship. The research will primarily analyze the educational dimension of theatrical practice with a view to making the activity of the Center for Theater and Citizenship Research and Teaching more efficient and incisive.
Status of works
The ongoing research has identified a research fellow who is collecting the material. A greater involvement of the interlocutors of the Center for Research and Teaching "Theater and Citizenship" is expected in itinere.
