Subject
The project aims to analyze and enhance skills in media and digital language among high school students in San Marino. In the current era of streaming, adolescents are among the main users of media products such as TV series and teen dramas, which profoundly influence the perception of identity, relationships and emotions. Recent studies, such as those on embodied simulation and neuroscience applied to cinema (Gallese and Guerra 2015) highlight the impact of such products on emotions and relational dynamics. Furthermore, media literacy is recognized as a crucial skill for active citizenship, according to the indications of the Sammarinese School (DD n. 169/2021).
Learning outcomes
The project aims to answer the following research questions:
- What is the type of TV series consumption among Sammarinese students?
- How can TV series serve as a platform to discuss issues of identity, emotions and relationships?
- How can students develop new narrative modes that express identity, relationships, and well-being?
