About us
La Higher School of Historical Studies of San Marino was founded in 1988, the first activity of the University of San Marino, and launched by the introductory speeches of Aldo Schiavone, Fausta Morganti, Deputy for Public Education and Culture, Federico Mayor, Director General of UNESCO, and by the inaugural lecture held on 30 September 1989 by Eugenio Garin.
Doctorate
The doctoral course in historical studies lasts three years and is open to students from all over the world with degrees in history and related disciplines, selected on the basis of a competition based on qualifications and an oral exam.
The notice of competition is published alternately every two years in the month of November and the candidates will be judged by the selection commission, made up of the Scientific Council of the Scuola Superiore di Studi Storici.
