From February 20th to September 22nd 2026 it is possible to pre-enroll in the Master's Degree in Design, according to the deadlines indicated in the following table.

To access the admission test, the pre-registration online is mandatory.
Instructions for using the on-line desk page
On the online desk page (Esse3) proceed as indicated below to pre-register for the degree course:
- Register by entering the requested personal data
- Note down the username and password assigned by the system
- Login
- Click on secretariat/admission test to register for the entrance exam for the the Master's Degree Course in Design , by entering the requested data. During the pre-registration procedure, you will be asked to upload the following documents:
- Valid identity document front/back;
- Curriculum vitae and studiorum (downloadable form at the bottom of the page);
- Degree certificate (for graduate students) or other equivalent qualification, including one obtained abroad, indicating the final grade, exams taken, credits earned, and the Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors (SSD). The foreign certificate must be translated and certified by the relevant Italian consular office. Self-certifications are not accepted.

- portfolio in PDF format, with the following characteristics:
* any links or other video materials visible online that are useful for the evaluation, reported in the portfolio;
* maximum file size 20MB. - Note down the pre-registration number assigned by the system (viewable on the registration summary page and at the bottom of the admission application form, downloadable at the end of the procedure – see number, date and time of application submission)
Please Note: If you do not have any of the required documents when completing the procedure, you can upload them later by accessing the same procedure again and clicking – at the bottom of the summary page – on the “modify assessment titles” button.
Complete the pre-registration
To complete the online pre-registration procedure, it is indispensable to pay €50,00, using the link (online payment by credit card) or the downloadable payment slip (Bollettino Freccia), available at online portal/secretariat/payments. The payment must be made within the deadline indicated in the call for applications.
Any disabilities and/or specific learning disorders must be reported during the pre-registration process, attaching appropriate certification. Candidates will be contacted by the Inclusion Service representatives to receive information regarding compensatory tools and measures (inclusione@unirsm.sm).
Admission test
Interviews for each round will take place exclusively online (via Microsoft TEAMS) one the dates indicated in the table, starting at 09:30 a.m.
The interview schedule will be published on this page the day before each selection round.
Candidates will have to connect for identification procedures
at 09:00 a.m., having with them:
- Valid identity document ;
- Receipt of the payment of the €50,00 pre-registration fee
The evaluation of the test (lasting approximately 10/15 minutes) will be based on the following criteria:
- Submitted material (60%)
- Presentation of personal profile and portfolio during the motivational interview (40%)
The minimum overall passing score is set at 25/100.
Candidates whose mother tongue is not Italian must demonstrate during the interview that they possess adequate Italian language skills.
