From March 24th to September 04th 2025 it will be possible to pre-enroll in the Bachelor's degree course in Communication and Digital Media, according to the terms indicated in the following table (29 places available).

To access the admission test, the pre-registration online is mandatory.
Instructions for using the on-line desk page
On the online desk page (Esse3) proceed as indicated below to pre-register for the degree course
- Register by entering the requested personal data
- Note down the username and password assigned by the system
- Login
- Click on secretariat/admission test to register for the entrance exam for the Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Digital Media, entering the requested data. During the pre-registration procedure, you will be asked to upload the following documents:
- Valid identity document front/back;
- Certificate of completion of the MOOC “Semiotics of New Media” (available on Unibo Open Knowledge), in .pdf format;
– English language certificate equal to or higher than level B1 (for those who have achieved it) - Note down the pre-registration number assigned by the system (viewable on the registration summary page and at the bottom of the admission application form, downloadable at the end of the procedure – see number, date and time of application submission).
PS. If at the time of completing the procedure some documents (the MOOC or the English language certificate) have not yet been acquired, it is possible to upload them later, by accessing the same procedure again and clicking – at the bottom of the summary page – on the “modify assessment titles” button.
Complete the pre-registration
To complete the online pre-registration procedure, it is indispensable to pay €50,00, using the link (online payment by credit card) or the downloadable payment slip (Bollettino Freccia), available at online portal/secretariat/payments. The payment must be made within the deadline indicated in the call for applications.
If a candidate from San Marino does not have a fiscal code, they can request one from the Italian Embassy in San Marino, located at Viale A. Onofri, 117, San Marino City.
Candidates already enrolled in other universities must also send the following documents to
- the career evaluation request form (downloadable at the bottom of the page);
- the enrollment certificate showing exams taken, including credits and scientific-disciplinary sectors (self-certification is not accepted).
Any disabilities and/or specific learning disorders must be reported at the time of pre-registration by sending an email to inclusione@unirsm.sm, accompanied by appropriate certification.
Admission test
The admission test for each round will take place at the Department of Human Sciences – Viale A. Onofri 87, 47890, San Marino City – Republic of San Marino, starting at 2 p.m. and continuing until all candidates have completed the test, according to the pre-registration order (the final list of interviews will be published on this page within the deadlines shown in the table).
The test can be held online (via Microsoft TEAMS) only upon justified requests, which must be sent to the Student Administration Office (segreteriastudenti@unirsm.sm) at least two days before the date of the test.
All candidates must present themselves at the test location for identification procedures at 1 p.m. on the day of the test, bringing the following documents:
- Valid identity document ;
- Receipt of the payment of the €50,00 pre-registration fee
- Certificate of passing at least 60% of the multiple choice questions at the end of the MOOC “Semiotics of new media” available at Unibo Open Knowledge (if not already uploaded during online pre-registration)
- Any English language certificate equal to or higher than level B1 (if not already uploaded during the online pre-registration)
The evaluation of the test is based on the following criteria:
- Score obtained after passing the MOOC (maximum 20 points)
- English language certifications equal to or higher than level B1 (maximum 20 points)
- Interview (maximum 60 points) – for the evaluation criteria, see Art. 3, paragraph 4 of the Admission Call
The minimum overall passing score is set at 60/100.
Please note: Foreign qualifications must be translated, legalized and accompanied by a declaration of value issued by the competent Italian diplomatic authorities. Candidates whose mother tongue is not Italian must demonstrate during the interview that they possess adequate Italian language skills.
