Thesis and attachments
The final thesis is divided into:
- Thesis
- Graphic table A1 format, vertically laid out and printed in color on paper. It must summarize the thesis project through the use of text, photos, figures, and images specifically referenced in the text and described in the relevant legend.
The poster must be created according to the official template of the degree course and the following information must be added to the header: aa [0000–00] . [student's name and surname] . [project title] . [supervisor's name and surname and any co-supervisors] . [project subtitle, if any]
The editable A1 Poster template can be downloaded from the attachments box at the bottom of the page. - Extended abstract of the thesis project, in both Italian and English , which summarize the thesis project (introduction, subject of the work, results and conclusions) and which must be about 1.000 characters. The text must be accompanied by a selection of up to 10 photos and/or images, a maximum of 10 keywords and any bibliography. The document must be drawn up according to the template.

The topic of the thesis must be agreed with a teacher who held a course in the three-year period.

The following document must be submitted to the Degree Course within the deadline for the submission of the final thesis, which is indicated in the section graduation sessions and deadlines:

Final version of the dissertation
The .pdf/A file of the final dissertation must be uploaded on the Esse3 online desk page, by accessing the Degree Obtaining Procedure.
The final version of the dissertation must be approved (within the deadline for the upload of the final dissertation) by the first supervisor, who will receive an automatic notification from Esse3 at the time of uploading. It will then be necessary to upload the file on the degree application well in advance.
Students must, in any case, bring a printed copy of their thesis and a color copy of the Abstracts in A4 format (Italian and English) on the day of the discussion (to be collected at the end of the discussion).
The thesis must have the following characteristics:
- blue leather cover and gold lettering
Evaluation
The final degree mark is expressed out of one hundred and ten. The minimum grade to pass the test is sixty-six/one hundred and tenths.
The Degree Committee:
- acknowledges the weighted average of the marks obtained in the exams, rounded to the nearest integer,
- takes note of the score, expressed out of one hundred and ten, obtained in the final test,
- awards a "bonus" of 2 points (out of one hundred and ten) to students who complete their study cycle within three academic years from their first enrolment,
- calculates the sum of the scores corresponding to items a), b), c),
- can unanimously award honors in the event that the sum referred to in point d) is equal to or greater than 110
The President of the Degree Committee informs the candidate of the final degree mark through a public proclamation.
For cohorts from the academic year 2009/2010 onwards (MD 270/2004)
The Committee evaluates the final test, and, if passed, assigns a integer score from 0 to 3 (on a scale of 110), taking into account the quality of the work carried out and the candidate's presentation skills.
