Procedure for obtaining the title

The submission of the degree application (to be carried out on the online desk page Esse3) is only possible if students have fulfilled the following requirements:

  • regular enrollment in the final year of the course
  • active academic career (being up to date with tuition fees payments)

PRACTICAL EVALUATION TEST
(Only for students enrolled starting in the 2023/2024 academic year)

The PPV is an integral part of the final degree exam in L-P01 qualifying courses and precedes the final degree exam. Its purpose is to verify the candidate's suitability for independent practice.

To be admitted to the Practical Evaluation test (and the subsequent final exam), the student must have obtained, within twenty days of the date set for the degree exam, the credits relating to all the activities envisaged in the study plan, excluding those for the final exam. The Practical Evaluation test is held at least two weeks before the final round and consists of verifying knowledge of the discipline of the profession, in solving one or more practical problems consistent with the activities carried out during the TPV, as well as in assessing knowledge of regulations and professional ethics.

The Practical Evaluation Test judging commission is composed of at least four members, half of whom are university professors and half of whom are professionals appointed by the competent Orders or Colleges.

The Practical Evaluation Test result is expressed as a pass or fail. If successful, the student advances to the final exam and the qualification awarded is qualifying. The Practical Evaluation Test does not contribute to the degree grade.

The degree obtaining procedure is available in the menu of the online desk page Esse3 for all students who meet the requirements and can be carried out up to about three months before the graduation date (for deadlines refer to the table above).

During the degree obtaining procedure you will be asked to fill in:

  • academic record data (some mandatory, others optional)
  • thesis data (even if not definitive at this stage)
  • the evaluation questionnaire (mandatory)

At the end of the procedure you will be asked to attach the following documents (mandatory and available for download at the bottom of the page):

  1. thesis application
  2. privacy module (to be filled in on page 4)

Once the procedure has been successfully completed, Esse3 will automatically send a confirmation email to the institutional address of the student's primary thesis supervisor and a copy to the student as well.

The application will be valid only for the graduation session to which it refers.
An enrolled student who does not obtain the degree by the end of that session must cancel the application and submit a new one for the next session.
The previosly paid graduation fee will remain valid.

The application may be canceled up to the day before the graduation session through the Esse3 online desk. In this case, it is necessary to simultaneously send a communication via email to the Student Office (segreteriastudenti@unirsm.sm).

To upload the final version of the thesis, it is necessary to acess the Degree Obtaining Procedure again from online desk page Esse3.

From the summary screen, it is possible to proceed with the thesis completion :

  • by filling in the thesis data on the designated screen (some mandatory, others optional);
  • by uploading any attachments to the thesis (abstract, poster, boards, etc.);
  • attaching the pdf/A file of the final thesis.

Please Note: The final version of the thesis must be approved (by the deadline indicated above) by the primary supervisor, who will receive an automatic notification from Esse3 at the time of the upload. Therefore, it will be necessary to upload the file on your degree application well in advance.
