SMUVI – on-demand shared transport within the territory of San Marino
SMUVI is a new shared, on-demand bus service that operates via app or telephone reservation. The service will be free from March 2, 2026, until September 30, 2026.
SMUVI does not follow a fixed timetable like traditional lines: the bus operates only if booked and connects only public bus stops. It is designed to improve public transport in areas and time slots that are not sufficiently served by traditional lines. The service is shared with other passengers; during the journey, the bus may make intermediate stops or detours to pick up or drop off other users at designated stops.

You can book:

  • via SMUVI APP (recommended), downloadable from the website of the Autonomous State Company for Public Services;
  • Monday to Thursday from 8:15 am to 18:00 pm and Friday from 8:15 am to 14:00 pm by telephone 0549 883700.

By cable car

It is also possible to reach San Marino City by cable car.
This transport solution connects San Marino with Borgo Maggiore with trips every 15 minutes.
The service runs every day from 7:50 am with the last ride varying depending on the period and offers discounted rates for UniRSM students.
