Profilo biografico

Nata a Buenos Aires, Argentina, nel 2012 ha conseguito la Laurea Quinquennale con Lode in Matematica presso la National University of La Plata (Argentina) con specializzazione in didattica della matematica.

Nel 2015, ha ottenuto il titolo di Master con Lode in Didattica della Matematica presso l’University of Granada (Spagna), con una tesi di laurea dal titolo Onto-Semiotic perspective of diagrammatic reasoning in mathematics education. Implications for teacher education.

Nel 2018, ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Matematica e Scienze dell’Educazione (International Doctorate Accreditation) con Lode presso l’University of Granada (Spagna), con una tesi intitolata Developing prospective secondary school mathematics teacher’s didactic-mathematical knowledge and competences within the framework of the onto-semiotic approach.

Dal 2012, partecipa a numerosi progetti di ricerca ed è direttrice di diverse tesi di dottorato. Ha anche tenuto numerose conferenze internazionali.

Dal 2018, collabora alla didattica presso l’Università degli Studi della Repubblica di San Marino per il Corso di Laurea Triennale in Costruzioni e Gestione del Territorio, insegnando Analisi Matematica I.

Dal 2020, ricopre il ruolo di docente di Geometria presso l’Università degli Studi della Repubblica di San Marino, dove insegna nei corsi di laurea triennale in Ingegneria Civile e Ingegneria Gestionale.

Interessi di ricerca

L’attività di ricerca è concentrata nel campo della matematica e della sua didattica, con un focus predominante sull’approccio del diagrammatic reasoning da una prospettiva ontologica e semiotica. All’interno di questo ambito, vengono analizzate le diverse configurazioni di conoscenza coinvolte in una varietà di problemi matematici, con l’obiettivo di applicare successivamente tali risultati in due aree di ricerca: 1) nella formazione iniziale e continua degli insegnanti di matematica; 2) nella formazione di futuri ingegneri.

La didattica efficace richiede una solida base di formazione per gli insegnanti, e a tal fine, vengono create opportunità volte a sviluppare competenze sia didattiche che matematiche tra gli insegnanti e i futuri docenti. In questo contesto, le ricerche si concentrano principalmente sullo sviluppo di tecniche d’insegnamento e competenze professionali, utilizzando il research-based design come metodologia principale e partendo da problemi matematici specificamente studiati come punto di partenza.
